My Electric Kettle lights but it will not heat (boil) water.

The one who used it last says it only warmed the water as opposed to boiling it the way it has been known to do.

Hi. You will have to open it up and see if none of the electrical wires inside are visibly broken. Unfortunately, the element may have failed. You will sadly have to have it replaced if the latter is the case. Only remember that the Edcon appliances normally come with a year or two of 'Guarantee'; meaning that you will be able to get a free replacement if your Kettle is still withing the stipulated guarantee period.

I opened it up and found out that non of the three cables is visible broken - as much as I wish it is not, I am afraid the element may be dead. Any one know how much a Kettle element goes for separate?
